USA Men's Olympic Swim

YES!!! We were so pumped up last night as we watched our guys swim the relay. The French team had publicized in newspapers, etc, that they were going to "smash the Americans" at the relay.

HA!!!!! While they did swim really well, our team won the gold!!!! They had to swim their hearts out to do so...and it was amazing. While Michael Phelps gave us a great start, the guy who deserves another Gold Medal is Jason Lezak...who really just gave it the most amazing power ending...he beat the world record (held by the French, I might add) by FOUR SECONDS!!!!!! That is amazing...I'm just so proud of them.

It was so exciting watching the celebration that followed. And...almost as fun to watch the blank look on the faces of the French swimmers who had so proudly proclaimed "we're going to smash the Americans"! I will re-state, however, that they swam amazingly well too.

BUT WE WON! Tonight I will watch as Michael Phelps works to get more GOLD...in his effort to beat another record. Awesome!
